Description of works:
The objectives of this scheme were to create a new park including play facilities.
WORKS
- Major regrading to the entire site
- The importation and spreading of 1055m3 of topsoil
- Construction of a new swale
- Construction of new footpaths
- Installation of drainage, gulleys and soakaways
- Kerbing, slabbing, block paving and resin bound surfacing
- Installation of new boundary fencing and entrance chicanes – made by our inhouse fabrication team
- Fabrication and installation of bespoke metalwork by our inhouse fabrication team – 7m tall primrose including seating to a paved central area and 4.5m tall entrance archways
- Installation of picnic tables, benches and litter bins
- Supply & install new play equipment as per specifications and to BS EN 1176 & BS EN 1177 standards, including the installation of Jupiter Play’s first large bespoke item of play equipment
- Supply & install safety surface to comply with specifications to BS EN 1176 & BS EN 1177 standards
- Installation of all associated safety surfaces
- Installation of a MUGA and football area
- Installation of Birmingham’s first Teqball table
- Installation of a recycled plastic boardwalk
- The planting and 2 years maintenance of 116 no. semi mature and extra heavy standard trees
- Seeding and turfing – including wildflower turf
