Description of works:
The objectives of this scheme were to create a new park including play facilities.

WORKS

• Major regrading to the entire site
• The importation and spreading of 1055m3 of topsoil
• Construction of a new swale
• Construction of new footpaths
• Installation of drainage, gulleys and soakaways
• Kerbing, slabbing, block paving and resin bound surfacing
• Installation of new boundary fencing and entrance chicanes – made by our inhouse fabrication team
• Fabrication and installation of bespoke metalwork by our inhouse fabrication team – 7m tall primrose including seating to a paved central area and 4.5m tall entrance archways
• Installation of picnic tables, benches and litter bins
• Supply & install new play equipment as per specifications and to BS EN 1176 & BS EN 1177 standards, including the installation of Jupiter Play’s first large bespoke item of play equipment
• Supply & install safety surface to comply with specifications to BS EN 1176 & BS EN 1177 standards
• Installation of all associated safety surfaces
• Installation of a MUGA and football area
• Installation of Birmingham’s first Teqball table
• Installation of a recycled plastic boardwalk
• The planting and 2 years maintenance of 116 no. semi mature and extra heavy standard trees
• Seeding and turfing – including wildflower turf
